Illustrating real world consequences for many Latino youths, mun2 follows the challenges faced by an undocumented student in the Los Angeles public school system. We follow Fermin, an 18 year old straight-A student who lives in the Pico/Union neighborhood with his mother and little sister. His mother, who came from El Salvador, just recently received resident status, his sister is a citizen. Fermin arrived 6 years ago and is undocumented.

Now on the verge of graduating and having been accepted to many universities, he faces the prospect of missing out on a higher education because federal law doesn’t allow him to apply for financial aid and loans. Fermin’s story takes him from street rallies in Los Angeles to the halls of power in Washington DC where he faces his future with hope and determination.

I think que es muy importante that the Latino youth of this country gets informed and votes. Immigrants are not criminals! And therefore they shouldn't be treated as such. They can't vote, pero nosotros si podemos! Es muy importante that we all go to register and vote for those politicians that want to help our people, that's where the powers at and that's how we can help. Marches aren't enough. Immigrants or not,we are Latinos and we have 2 represent and stand up for each other.

Hello everyone this is Fermin Vasqez the student that was featured in the documentary. I just want to thank all of you for all your positive comment and sound judgement when it comes to the immigration issue. I am not afraid of the anti-immigrant forces and I will continue to fight for what is just(many immigration laws are not just). Let me know how we can work together to change the anti-immigrant rethoric in this country and to let the public know who we are. Remember that together ordinary people can do extraordinary things. No-one realizes that illegals are the reasons that all latinos are targeted by racists. Because groups like La Raza and the UCLA are helping them break the law, they are screwing it for law abiding immigrants. Everyone has the right to come to this country. But only if they follow every law, including its immigration laws which illegal immigrants are not. I am a latino, and I find it appalling that many would want to fight to give illegal immigrants want legal immigrants, U.S citizens, and NATIVE AMERICANS are denied or have to give an arm and leg for. We should think with reason and commonsense instead of ethnic pride and hatred.

In a sense, illegal immigrants are criminals. Even though crossing the border illegally is not a criminal offense, they are indeed committing federal offences, such as obtaining false or stolen identification, tax fruad or evasion, etc. which all illegal immigrants are commiting as we speak. Think with commonsense not ethnic pride
