Paula Garces

Well known to television viewers for the past 3 seasons as “Officer Tina Halon” on the FX channel’s hit series The Shield, the role recently garnered Paula a 2008 Alma Award nomination as Best Supporting Actress. Previous television credits include a recurring role as CSI Tech on Law and Order: SUV, and repeat roles on both Knight Rider and CSI Miami series.

Paula’s feature film career includes a starring role in the recent New Line Cinema hit sequel Harold & Kumar: Escape from Guantanamo Bay, reprising her role as “Maria” opposite John Cho from the original Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle. Among Paula’s previous feature credits are the critically acclaimed Sundance Indie favorite Spin starring opposite Ruben Blades, Man of the House starring opposite Tommy Lee Jones, and the teen sci-fi adventure Clockstoppers starring opposite Jesse Bradford.

A native of Colombia, Paula made her acting debut in 1999 when she landed the 3-season role of “Pilar” on the Emmy winning daytime series Guiding Light.

Paula is next producing and starring in the live action feature Red Princess Blues, based on the acclaimed animated short of the same name which debuted at Cannes International Film Festival and San Diego’s Comic Con. Expanding her career further, Paula is working as both Executive Producer and Host to Mun2's channel highly anticipated new show called The Mun2 Look. Scheduled for release in 2010, The Mun2 Look is a new hot fashion magazine style show shot on location in New York City, bringing audience viewers the latest trends in fashion, music and entertainment. The Look will also give the Mun2’s viewer a makeover and help them to achieve The Look at an affordable price with the help of renowned fashion stylist to the stars, Jorge Ramon.
