One of seven siblings, Guadalupe Venegas is a California native through and through. Although he spent part of his childhood in Tlaquepaque, México, (where most of his family still resides) Guadalupe returned to California during his teens and attended San Diego State University, were he received bachelors degrees in both Communications and Spanish Arts and Letters.

An "expert foosball player" who bleeds red, white and blue for his beloved Chivas de Guadalajara, Guadalupe says he grew up with the best of both worlds: “I’m one of the those Mexican kids whose dad always showed up at school wearing boots and a cowboy hat. I love banda as much as I do rock. I love snowboarding as much as soccer."
