Manu Chao is an incomparable artist; he is unique to his style. Manu Chaos’s legacy begins with his works in Mano Negra. I don’t believe we can put Manu and Calle13 under the same lens, since they are both so unique. I am also a great admire of Calle13, the lyrics as well as the music are revolutionizing a genre that has not change in years (reggeatón) with same style on beats as well as lyrics. The thing I enjoy the most is Calle13’s ability to play with words and the fact, that he is “yendo contra la marea”. (Mis respetos por lo que hizo en los grammys. ) In conclusion there is no way to compare this two artists, they are both excellent in there own way. I will like to mention that the song “Pal’ Norte” with the also legendary Orishas it has a many similarities to Manu Chaos style and it is a hit to remember.
