A Wal-Mart in Texas has pulled comics featuring Memín Pinguín after customers complained it was insulting to blacks. Created in Mexico, Memín is supposed to be a dark-skinned Cuban-Mexican boy. His features – bug eyes, big lips – borrow heavily from 19th century stereotypes. (via FP Passport)
