Cuban bombshell Mayra Veronica's "face" may be familiar to the avid "readers" of such men's magazines as FHM, Maxim and Men's Edge, but the 27-year-old Havana-born pin-up is hoping to make the risky – just ask Cassie – transition from images.Google to iTunes/latino.

Born Mayra Veronica Aruca Rodríguez, the daughter of Arturo Aruca of '70s Cuban pop-rockers Los Dada, the raven-haired Veronica moved to the U.S. as a child. As a young adult, she busted out of Spanish-language television and onto the pages of magazines and calendars before releasing her independent debut Vengo Con To' (I’m Coming with Everything). The strength of her radio-friendly single "Mama Mia" and the reggaetón-like "Vengo Con To" proved enough for The Coalition Music Group/Motown Universal to line up Pitbull, Lil’ John and Snoop Dogg for her English language debut.

Her trajectory may have her hot on the heels of Vida Guerra, but Veronica is determined on a Tila Tequila-like media assault.
