New Mexico hotel owner Larry Whitten sparked controversy after he asked his employees to change their Hispanic names to "easier-to-pronounce" English names. Whitten, who fired some employees for refusing to comply with his rules, also asked employees to only speak English.

Taco truck owners in East Los Angeles, California say they will defy a law that makes it illegal for them to stay parked in one location for more than an hour. Restaurant owners claim the trucks steal their business while taco truck owners say the law will put them out of business.
