A former intelligence chief from Colombia is arrested and charged in connection with the murders of unionists and academics.

On Friday we told you about the arrest of four Guatemalan policemen in connection with the murders of three Salvadoran politicians. On Sunday, the policemen were shot dead in a maximum security jail in Guatemala City. One of the four slain officers was the head of El Salvador's organized crime unit.
