Richmond, California police say they have arrested five suspects in the gang rape of a 15-year-old high school student. As many as 20 people are believed to have witnessed the crime. Richmond Police Lieutenant Mark Gagan: "We do not have the ability to arrest people who witnessed the crime and did nothing. The law can be very rigid."

A British woman who falsely accused a man of raping her after the two met on a dating website has been sentenced to two years in prison.

Arizona officials are reporting an increase in "rape trees," crime scenes in which suspects (believed to be drug cartel members) hang the personal clothing of the women they've raped.
