Plans for a movie based on the record-breaking video game Halo have been scrapped – for now. Halo's maker, Bungie, recently separated from Microsoft and may be working on titles for competing game systems.

Halo fans are eagerly anticipating the release of Halo 3. Analysts predict the "final" installment of the popular Halo series may reach sales of $200 million and could be the "biggest first-day seller ever."
