Thousands of Puerto Rican workers and their supporters took to the streets during an island-wide strike over the elimination of 20,000 government jobs.

Venezuela has removed the TV show "The Simpsons" from morning TV after deeming it "unsuitable for children." The cartoon has been replaced by "Baywatch."

Federal employees have charged millions of dollars to government credit and debit cards, including lingerie, Internet dating services and iPods, according to an audit by the Government Accountability Office. Almost half of the transactions made by federal employees in 2006 were "improper."
