Despite a shrinking arrest rate, migrant deaths along the U.S.-México border have increased by seven percent over the last six months, according to Border Patrol officials.

In a move to "save as many lives as possible," the U.S. Border Patrol has released a Spanish-language CD titled Migracorridos in Northern México.

The U.S. Border Patrol is investigating allegations by border agents who said they would be punished if they didn't meet arrest quotas during January. Border Patrol agents in Riverside, California said they were ordered to arrest 150 illegal immigrants or have their work shifts changed.

MySpace says it has removed 90,000 sex offenders from its site, twice as many as it estimated last year. Two recent surveys found that Internet predators are not as prevalent as most parents believe. Janis Wolak of the University of New Hampshire in Durham: "There's been some overreaction to the new technology, especially when it comes to the danger that strangers represent."
