Extended Warranty

milestones in latino history

sun 3/25/2007

Saturday, July 15, 2006. Lisbeth Ortiz opens her new iPod with a nail file to "make it restart," thus breaking it. A few days later, her father buys an extended warranty for the iPod. Two weeks later, Lisbeth and her father drive to their local Best Buy and exchange her broken iPod for a new, working model. At the store, Lisbeth's father quips his daughter was visiting her "cousins in Mexico" when the iPod was broken, "you know how they are."
