Wibal y Alex, DJ Nelson, Ivy Queen and Adassa

Wibal y Alex lead a wave of new reggaetón releases with El Repertorio (Los Dueños del Bandidaje), a collection that showcases the Puerto Rican duo's most banging dancefloor anthems. The album features eight new tracks alongside music that was previously released on other reggeatón compilations. It's the perfect opportunity to get acquainted with Wibal y Alex's Gata Psycho and "Chica Gargola," two fun but far-from-feminist portraits of women as reggaetón freaks.

DJ Nelson is back with the second installment of his mix-tape-like series Flow: La Discoteka. The Puerto Rican native is well regarded in the Latin music market for coining the word "reggaetón" and has been baptized by Daddy Yankee as "the Godfather" of the genre. Nelson's new Flow collection – a tribute to the dance club he runs in Puerto Rico – features well known reggaetóneros like Tego Calderón, Noriega, Voltio, Arcángel, Andy Boy, Zion and Abrante.

Two of the main ladies of reggeatón have released digital singles recently. Ivy Queen's Que Lloren is the first cut off her forthcoming Sentimiento album. The album features production by Luny Tunes, DJ Urba, Noriega, Monserrate and Escobar. "Que Lloren" succeeds in making use of almost every trick in the reggeatón book for your maximum dancing pleasure. It's also an ellas-contra-ellos track that will surely make dawgs weep with shame.

On the same tip, Adassa's La Manera EP features three versions of the same sexotic track – the best of which could easily be la spanglish version, with its slick raggamuffin flow, acoustic guitars and a beat tight enough to make Manu Chao green with envy. The sultry Colombian-American will release her third album, the self-titled Adassa, on April 24th.
