A military base and lots of police are some of the reasons El Paso is the third safest city in the U.S. Across the Rio Grande river, sister city Ciudad Juarez is being torn apart by drug trafficking due to a lack of police and corrupt officials.

That is sad to hear.
So many people being killed, and you think you can trust the police to protect you, but some of them are the bad guys.

That sucks, it's like the one border separates the two different worlds.
I hope Obama does something to try and help out with the whole drug trafficking situation in Mexico.

Oh, and I just checked...NYC comes right after at number 4! Who knew?! I assumed it was one of the more dangerous ones...since some one gets killed/gets jumped/gets raped like every day in Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, or Manhattan.
