Barack Obama has appointed ex-Iowa Governor Tom Vilsack as agriculture secretary and Colorado Senator Ken Salazar as secretary of the Interior. House Representative Xavier Becerra (D-CA) declined a position as a U.S. trade representative stating that he understood trade will not be a priority for the new administration.
