The U.S. housing crisis, part of the current economic downturn, has increased the number of public school students who qualify for free meals. Paying for additional meals has put a strain on many school districts attempting to reduce costs in light of budget cuts.

Wow that's like MY school.
I stopped buying lunch because prices were getting high just for greasy food. Not only that, but since i have C lunch, they even keep RUNNING OUT of food to where i couldn't even eat !

I Dont know why they are even
moving the prices up cause
the food is still nasty n un cooked
like always. IM glad im done with school.

yeh i can suree tell they like TOTALLY raised the price of cookies from 50cents to 75 and its not even baked! gosh meanies!

i kno Marisela! chips now are 35 cents !
wtf ?! that so0o threw me off. The universe is so effed up now that my chips aren't 25 cents.

wow they give people more food which is a food thing but now they are gonna cut school programs at a school already stretching the budget...
