Mexico's Roman Catholic church is drawing criticism for an online article published by Reverend Sergio G. Roman warning women not to wear revealing clothing because it could lead to violence: "When we show our body without prudence, without modesty, we are prostituting ourselves." Writer and journalist Guadalupe Loaeza: "It gives rapists permission to say, 'Well, she had on a miniskirt.'"

i think the sentiment means well, meaning "don't dress like a whore, don't be indecent, etc."
but i don't think it will stop women from getting attacked/raped/etc.
i mean, many times, reports I've seen, the woman was jogging in her gym clothes, or something similar. i guess the Catholic church will always stir up controversy.

datz soo messed up 4 dem 2 say dat. if dat wuz tru i would've been raped PLANTY of timez!!! like a girl can b wearin a mini skirt and high heelz pero "el hombre llega a donde la mujer quiere" am i right??? i dnt let NOBODY touch me

Yes like Strawberry said "el hombre llega donde la mujer quiere"..very true. ( idk now how to explain myself rite now..so bear with me) How people dress shouldn't give people permission to say anything. A girl with a mini skirt isn't always a "whôre"..she could be the most innocent girl that gets straight A's idk..I mini skirt shouldn't cause violence..its mostly the mentality of the other person..the way they think which is disgusting and judgemental

but if a girl is dressing like a skeet, are provocando a los hombres. no le buscas tres patas al gato, why u gonna dress like that and then wonder why u get violated.

Wow then the teachers at my sch0ol must be attending his sermons. Cuz the dress code this year is crazy ! i had to mutton my shirt ALLL the way cuz it showed s k i n AND one of my friends had to change her shirt cuz it wasnt a straight line from armpit to armpit lmao0o.
