LOL the irony...using this logic if they preached less abstinence teenage pregnacy would go down ?

No, Mrjam. if they made more birth control methods available and actually gave more info about sex instead of saying "just say no" perhaps there would be less teen pregnancies because who have sex anyway will know how to protect themselves.

...i personally feel that educating the dos & donts of sex is a better way
...at the end of the day its your own choice,
but i can understand why they campaign abstinence, what parent would appreciate a school giving out condoms & prevention pills?
...one thing is to educate, another is to encourage what we are avoiding!!!
every action has a consequence, as long as they are aware of those consequences they can dig their own hole ;]

Let me tell you from experience from sitting in a health class in TX. They hardly mentioned birth control all i heard(when i wasn't asleep) "Say no" "Just say no" "no no no no no" lol we lead in abstinence education and teen pregenancy..well yeah..we have four or five girls pregnant in my school :] one of them has a baby boy..awww..(not)
