A Wal-Mart in Texas has pulled comics featuring Memín Pinguín after customers complained it was insulting to blacks. Created in Mexico, Memín is supposed to be a dark-skinned Cuban-Mexican boy. His features – bug eyes, big lips – borrow heavily from 19th century stereotypes. (via FP Passport)

It seems offensive to people who don't know anything about Memin Pinguin. But Mexicans aren't laughing AT him. He's a beloved character, like Mickey Mouse or Bugs Bunny. And in the comics, he actually shows pride for his blackness and he suffers discrimination but pulls through it.

I totally agree with Natalia. Bye the way the U.S. has Speedy Gonzales and you don't hear Latinos complaining about how that can bee racist towards Latinos. Some people are just way to sensitive. They need to Man up!
