Organizations that help the elderly by delivering meals and providing transportation assistance are cutting back on their programs due to rising gas prices. They're also finding it harder to recruit volunteers. Nine out of 10 agencies said they are planning on cuts in 2009.


I don't see why organizations that help others have no gas while NASCAR drivers have plenty...a great example of America's priorities

i cant seem to understand where nascar comes in, but uhm...
very unfortunate, there is so much the community can do,since it is OBVIOUS that there is not much the state will provide or be consistent on providing...
people can chip in with donations, i mean the organization itself should be raising money for their causes...
i cant seem to understand why our priorities as humans becomes less humanly, oh well

its a shame really cause in some communites their just isnt any funds to go around.... like where i live we need more cops,better roads, hell my city dont have a high school !! so people here have to go to other cities !! we have no after school activites and its just a sad time in america
