In a bold operation, the Colombian military has rescued 15 hostages being held by the FARC rebel group including former 2002 presidential candidate Ingrid Betancourt and three Americans.

i read in the paper today how one of the hostages
saying how the FARC arent rebels like they claim but terrorist.... anyways im glad they rescued them
some of these guys have been captured for 4 years or more i think...

I always wondered why and how the hostages had been freed. Those tricky tricky colombianos. the part though of the blindfolded and naked captor not cool. they strip him naked to make sure he had nothing on him? maybe so

and that the Farc has been fighting to overthrow the Colombian government for 40 years-> ah caray.
