Johnny Vera, a transgender student, is crowned prom queen at Roosevelt High School in Fresno, California. Only five years earlier, another California high school student was murdered at a house party because she was transgender. (via Metafilter)

wow i'm so happy for her. i'm glad that the students in that school don't segregate and that they are open minded. we need those students in more schools cuz there's still alot of hatred towards LGBT students all over the world. :(
