- The Earth's "health" is declining due to unsustainable meat and seafood consumption as well as increased carbon emissions, according to a report by the Worldwatch Institute.
- Sgt. Omar Mora and Sgt. Yance T. Gray, two of seven soldiers who wrote an op-ed piece in The New York Times criticizing the Iraq war, died in a vehicle accident in Baghdad. (via FP Passport)
