- Miss Puerto Rico pageant officials are denying reports that police are investigating whether the winner's dress was really sabotaged with pepper spray.
- The 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid – a full-size SUV – is named 2008 Green Car of the Year. The hybrid Tahoe is 50 percent more fuel efficient than its standard counterpart (though nearly 50 percent less so than a Toyota Yaris.) (via Metafilter)
