- General Motors has announced plans to manufacture an electric car by 2010. The vehicle will be able to drive up to 40 miles on a full battery which will be recharged by a small in-car engine or a standard household outlet.
- Social networking site Facebook was warned that it could be charged with consumer fraud in New York for inaccurately claiming that it is more effective than other sites in protecting underage users from sexual predators.
