Hey Snoop Dogg - I just wanted to know, are you still a Blue? I want to know how you got out because my friend is still in it and I don't think that it's a good idea. I love him and all but he is just too into it, you know?
I'm still associated, but I'm not active as far as with the gang or what not. I have homeboys that I try to help get out as well, because we all get to a certain age when we realize it's not cool no more. So I definitely feel what you're saying. What I suggest for those still involved is that you have love for them. Just continue to show them love and other avenues. Because being in a gang sometimes is not violent. It's just sometimes being with the love and that's where the love is at sometimes. So just show a little more love and try to persuade him away from that. And if that don't work, it must be meant for him to be there. But just show love.
Hey Snoop, what does it take to follow your dreams?
What does it take to follow your dreams? You gotta basically believe in yourself - to the next level and what I mean by that is, you have to really believe in yourself. Like, to the point where even if there's no money involved you gotta believe to where this is what you were born to do. You know before I made my first dollar off of this music, I believed this is what I was supposed to do. I believe in not selling dope anymore when I was selling drugs to make money and all of a sudden I wanted to become a rapper. I had to stop selling drugs and disassociate myself with people who would get me in trouble so that's part of following your dream - making a decision and being your own person.
Do you think women are equal to men?
I think women are definitely equal to men. But sometimes vocally they need to know when to stay in pocket because that's when the misunderstanding comes in. Its about the way you talk. If a woman talks to a man like a woman, its always a 50-50 thing but the minute a woman starts to talk to a man like a man thats when it becomes a bad situation. So that's just my advice to the women out there. I appreciate them and respect them and I feel like we're all equal. No man is bigger, stronger or better than a woman but its just the conversation, the tone of it all. Because we have that masculine gene inside us. I don't know why it is, but it is what it is.
Why are you so skinny?
(Laughs.) I don't know... How old is she? Cause I got something that's real fat and real long. I had to say it.
