Mike Jones: Yeah, to answer your question about the haters man...I don't really be trippin about the haters hating on me cause...I mean, I do me, you know what I mean? You know when you got people hating on you, that means you're doing something right, so, that's how I look at it. I don't trip on it.

mun2: How many kids do you have?

Mike Jones: Right now I got one child, you know what I'm sayin'...a little boy, know what I'm sayin'...my little man, you know what I'm talkin' bout.

mun2: Would you vote for a black president?

Mike Jones: Oh, most definitely, I would vote for the *right* president...black, white, whatever, you know what I'm sayin'. If I feel the president is right, you know what I'm sayin', I'ma vote for him, you know. So...if you got a white, black, you know what I'm sayin', president...you know I'ma definitely vote for 'em...or vice versa, whoever's right. I just want the right person to represent the country.

mun2: Why is ice so important to you?

Mike Jones: I mean, really, ice isn't important to me. I mean, if you look at it, everybody in the industry wears ice, you know what I'm saying. Ice...just...you know, just...just...just...shows my hard work, I mean, I work so hard...you know, I very rarely get sleep, so I mean...you know, I like to reward myself, you know what I'm sayin'. Besides buying my mom a house, my house, my brother's house, my family – their houses – you know what I'm saying and my cars, I like to wear jewelry, you know what I'm sayin, that's just one of the habits I like to have, you know what I'm saying...that's basically it, you know what I'm talkin 'bout?

mun2: How can people get out of the hood?

Mike Jones: I mean, in my opinion, I think the best way to get out the hood is work hard, you know what I'm sayin'. You work hard and you start making money, you gonna move yourself, you know what I'm sayin'. I mean, not sayin' that you just leave the hood entirely from where you came from, don't forget where you come from, but you know, to move in a better space and a better place, you know what I'm sayin'....you gots to work hard and get on your grind and stack your paper up and once you do that you'll be able to move out.

mun2: Other than music, what is your biggest talent?

Mike Jones: Umm, my biggest talent, you know what I'm sayin', is you know, I play, you know what I'm sayin', I songwrite, you know what I'm sayin'...I write videos, I write treatments, you know what I'm sayin'...I write for people, I play basketball, I'm all around with it, you know what I'm sayin'?

mun2: On a scale of 1-10, how black are you?

Mike Jones: On a scale of one to 10? Aww sh*t...I don't know, I guess I'm a 10.

Mike Jones: Uh, the places I went to make my dreams come true, you know what I'm sayin'...I started hittin'...clubs...you know, strip clubs...I started hittin'...malls, flea markets...I started hittin' every spot I could hit to make my stuff pop...you know what I'm sayin, your boy got on the ground in a major way and I just started hittin' em tough, you know what I'm sayin'...and I ain't stop until my time came.
